Finally ran to his looks and broke his maiden.
Three year old colt Lane Way has always been right there in his races, and started his career finishing third to a number of horses that have gone on to win major stakes races. Last out, he was switched from dirt to turf and ran game in the stretch to lose by a neck. Then he stepped on himself and was out of training a couple of weeks, and this is his first race back. He was gorgeous in victory and is a maiden no more.
He's a big beautiful horse, and during the stretch today he showed off his amazing reaching stride.
The camera loves him.
