Yellowstone tonight -- so many tender moments.
Most all the characters on this show are so rough and tough, and here in the second episode of the third season we got a temporary respite. So much unexpected tenderness from characters that we haven't seen be vulnerable before.
Even the patriarch, John -- who doesn't have a kind word to say to anyone he's related to -- told a little story around the campfire -- not just in front of his youngest son's family, but with the ranch hands looking on. And that was after he purposely made a point of having his phone out of tower range so nobody could reach him.
Surely, things will soon go back to the normal violence and frustration and hostilities, which makes tonight's 45 minutes or so such a unique capsule in the series.
