Yesterday, City of Light won the richest horse race in America by five lengths in a thick Florida rainstorm. This morning, his sad trainer and the trainer's even sadder daughter were there as City of Light was settled in the van that would drive him away during another rainstorm. His destiny is Kentucky, where he will begin his second career as a stud horse.

City of Light is off to a presumably great rest of his life as a stud horse, and saying goodbye is almost more than trainer Mike McCarthy and daughter can bear.
