I've been blogging on Livejournal since 2012, which was when I'd gotten back involved in Starsky & Hutch fandom.
There used to be interaction with other fans, but they all eventually left -- either the fandom, or LJ. For some, leaving the latter was a matter of principle, since it's a Russian-owned platform.
Since I'm a contrarian by nature, I was very resistant to joining the throngs on Facebook. Eventually, I was worn down by the fact that that's where all the S&H discussion was. Well, I joined -- one account under Charlotte Frost and another under my real name -- perhaps eight or nine months ago, and I just don't like the platform. Threads are very difficult to follow. Plus, it's not conducive to text posts that use graphics sparingly.
So, I wanted to do something new and fresh, in terms of blogging, while not having to design it from scratch. So, I'm debuting this Wix page. I intend to develop it at a leisurely pace. Maybe, eventually, it'll matter again whether or not I actually have any readers. In the meantime, I don't think I'll have any fewer readers than I have with Livejournal. I tend not to complain about that much, since I'm not one who often responds to the blogging of others.
